Hello fellow U.B. readers!!!!! I found the Urantia Book just 2 years ago and have read it 5 times now. I can't put it down. It's amazing and enlightening and I wish everyone on Urantia knew about it's existance. We all need to spread the word to the ends of the earth. I live in Raleigh, N.C. where it seems like NOBODY has heard of it. It's cool to introduce it to new people though. I am dying to speak with other U.B. readers so...give me a ring....919-332-0605

I live in the suburbs of Sacramento CA. I have been reading the UB for almost 5 years now. I belong to a Open Bible Church of the Pentecostal faith. I told them of this book. And they thought the devil possessed me. How closed minded can you get. I really believe with all my heart that this UB is telling the truth. Its the only book that I've ever read that makes any sense. It has answered all my questions to life. And most importantly what happens when you pass on. The bible teaches you that you go to heaven. I don't believe that its that easy. The UB says you have other spiritual lives to live on other inhabited plants. Before you can ascend to heaven.I am 56 years old man with a new wife and son I sponsored from the Ukraine two years ago. They are of the Russian Orthodox religion.I can't get them to believe about the UB, But thats OK with me. I believe in it and thats all that really counts. I only met one other person that knows about the UB. He introduced it to me about 15 years ago. Since then I don't know where he resides anymore. I met another young man from Reno, Nevada that knew about the book. Would someone please email me or even call me. My phone number is 916 560 8169 Thank you very much and God Bless You.

Several people whom I interacted with pointed out that my spiritual journeys were similar to what was written in the Urantia Book. I perused the book and was amazed at the superior knowledge that this book contained; the main emphasis lacking therefrom was the message from God that "All religions that promote peace, love and compassion toward others have equal validity". This I have attempted to portray by editing the Urantia Book and retaining similarities therein of what my spirit witnessed in my spiritual interactions with God.

It's quite a companion. Since I'm over 30 I'm not on the "youthful" side anymore, mayber us former UB youth-ers should start a site called the "30-something UB Group" or the "near middle-aged UB society" or something along those lines! I hope you are all well. Hi Mike Mac, Jacob (wow in Sweden?) and "the other" Shane! Hope you guys are all good. Oh, hello April Helen and anyon else i missed!

I was born in Colombia S.A and came to the U.S when I was 2 years old. I currently live in Miami Florida. I found The Urantia Book in 1997 and fell in love with it. I was very confused at the time due to my religion......Mormon, becouse many of the things that I was taught just seemed vague and some things did not feel correct. Since I was a little boy I yearned "GOD" but as we all know the world and many religions dont really give you the answers that your "soul" accepts only the ones that your mind in an intellectual way can comprehend but still leaves you unsatisfied in a spiritual level! The Urantia Book has opened my eyes to the "True" truth behind the common knowlege and has fullfilled me in a spiritual level as well as in an intellectual level.

Now that we know we will be Urantia Kids and Universe Kids
for a very long .. time .. I am glad to meet you,
one at a time, as we travel on.

I know joy and comfort looking into eyes of all who look back
with the light of God's eternal infinite love, and while life
isn't easy, it is grand, and gets better with practice. It is
a joy, too, to "be friendly" to those who have yet to grasp
the wonder and delight of living loving life, so they,
too, embrace God as we love them.

We are not bodies with souls, but souls with bodies; I
understand we look more like our soul as we progress
here, and on, through the Mansion Worlds to finally
"shake hands" with our Father-Brother Michael who
will bless us on our way, eventually, to the
SuperUniverse to more intriguing endeavors.

My mom has been a reader since the 70's, so I grew up with the Urantia book teachings but I had no idea that there was such a big group of young readers until now. In the future, I hope to get to know lots of you and hope to see the young readers group continue to grow and grow. The Urantia book is such a powerful inspiration and source of peace for me and I wish I could share it with everyone. My goal is to help out as much as I can to facilitate the growth of the numbers of young readers and someday help our World to know Peace!

Hello all-
It's been a while since I've checked in. So long that I'm probably not considered a "youth" for the "UB Youth" - but, none the less I am here to say hello to all my old friends and any new ones out there. The UB continues to be an inspiration to me and I am writing to let all those who knew me way back when know that I am still a reader. Some of you travel the world and continue to spread that big blue book to others (well, the old books used to be blue)...I still do it in my own little way, I'm just doing the every day grind of standard American living...job, marriage, house...all those things. I love them all! But, I just wanted you all to know I still exist and I haven't totally slipped into the hum-drums of everyday life - as a matter of fact, that every day life is wonderful. So hello again to you all, and if any of you have SHANE's EMAIL ADDRESS, please forward it to me at [email protected].

Lots of things have happened since then. This weekend was the first time I got in personal contact with other readers in my country as I attended the 3rd national gathering in Mexico City. It was a good experience!!

Your tour for this year sounds great. There is a chance for me to go to Utah for some weeks in July, it all depends on a project I may work on in a town that is very close to Salt Lake City. It would be great if we can meet while you are on your way down to Colorado!!! I'll let you know as soon as I know about this situation.

By the way, I just knew the international conference in 2008 is going to be in my country... you all are invited.

My name is Fred Harris and I live in Tallahassee, Florida. For the last 7 years our UB group has been hosting Celestial Nights, a family gathering for our UB friends, at the Beach at Cape San Blas. Ashlee Pierce has been several times, so we know some of the youth, but we want to do more for them.

This year in lieu of hosting a Celestial Nights gathering, we hope to instead initiate the first Apostle's Training Camp on 300 acres near Tallahassee, Florida. We are looking for UB youth (ages 15-25) who would be interested in spending a week in Florida in March attending this camp. We are looking to gauge interest, so if any of you would like to attend, please provide me via private email the dates that would be most convenient (your spring break), the type of program that would be of interest to you, and any suggestions to assist us in facilitating this project. We also encourage imput from adults. It is our attempt to assist the youth change the world. It is free for those who attend.

One point: we have been involved with the UB, the Teaching Mission, RCIM, ACIM and other paths, but this camp is not about encouraging anyone to follow any of those paths. We are attempting to find the pattern that will allow the next generation to become lights of the world through love and service. We hope you will assist us in this effort. Thanks!

Civilization can hardly progress when the majority of the youth of any generation devote their interests and energies to the materialistic pursuits of the sensory or outer world.

The inner and the outer worlds have a different set of values. Any civilization is in jeopardy when three quarters of its youth enter materialistic professions and devote themselves to the pursuit of the sensory activities of the outer world. Civilization is in danger when youth neglect to interest themselves in ethics, sociology, eugenics, philosophy, the fine arts, religion, and cosmology.

Mike and friends,
Greetings from Portland Oregon. When I first started reading the Urantia Book I noticed that most of the other readers were older white haired folks. I often wondered if there would be enough younger people to carry on when they passed on to the Mansion worlds. Now most of them have graduated on, and I'm one of the ones with gray hair. The Urantia Movement has moved along very nicely. There have been some ruff spots in the road, but becouse of strong leadership, ( or in some cases in spite of that leadership ), the Urantia book has been spread to just about every corner of Urantia.
There still is so much to do. I'm very happy to see that the future is in good hands. Keep up the good work, and may God bless you and help you to always know his will. In service, Pat

Hi folks,

Looks like you're doing good work here, connecting the future in an interactive manner to develop spiritual growth and community. Not sure if I could consider myself youth anymore as I'm moving toward the big 40 in a couple years, but I resonate with the spirit of youth and was the youngest reader I knew for the first 5 years I had the book. (Found it about 15 years ago.)

I am in the midst of several projects related to sharing the love of God in the world, both at home and via online methods. Some are solo projects and some are in combination with other people.

The website www.associationforlightandlife.org is a major service project I'm involved in with a group of others where we are developing a network of seekers who are motivated by service and looking to work toward unity in our movement and sharing love with the world in many ways.

I see your tour schedule this summer takes you back east, but for those who can't go east, there will be a major conference of Urantia Readers and Teaching Mission people in Boise, Idaho August 11-15th. Theme is Building Spiritual Unity in the New Millenium through Community,Commitment, Preparation, and Service. Details are at the Association for Light and Life (ALL) site above.

Also involved in cleaning up the world a bit, through doing some Earth Day stuff on a yearly basis here in my Pocatello, Idaho community. Also write a spiritual newsletter for the ISU campus here... (am in the midst of getting a secondary ed degree to teach History.) If you're ever touring through and want to get a venue on campus to talk Urantia Book with college kids let me know.

But mainly keep on keeping on... the world can only grow toward light and life if the youth of today can carry the torch forward from what has been learned today. So open your eyes and ears, learn from the past, seek out the future, and live with the One inside you.

Peace and love to you,
Bob

Hey everybody!

What a great site! I am 39 now, but I found The Urantia when I was 17.
It's a very intense, yet wonderful book. I know it's a lot of pages to read, but keep reading. It gets really interesting. I'm glad that the internet has brought so many young readers together. I was starting to get worried that younger generations around the world would never find, or embrace the Urantia book. Thanks for proving me wrong. I was very depressed growing up, and feel very fortunate to have found the UB. I didn't know very many people my age that read it, but it has given me a lot of hope. My sister thought I was nuts for spending 35.00 on a book written by angels and beings from outer space. Not everyone understands the UB, but I like it.
My inner child is still a 20 year old rebel that likes rock music. :-)

A few weeks ago i found Urantia book on Internet and let me tell u that so far what i have read in Urantia´s book maches exactly what god tells this author, like the concept of the superuniverses or the role of Adan a Eve on earth or the Lucifer´s rebellion. I don´t know if there are versions of "Conversations with god" in English but i really recomend this book to all the readers of Urantia book and to all people who wish to know the truth about god and the universe.

Hi younger friends,
I am heading into the "elder" category, but because of my 35 years connection with God, The Urantia Book, and readers of this marvelous revelation, I am really young at heart. Myself and many other "oldies but goodies" desire to hear your opinions and get your suggestions on a project we are working on called SOAP - Service Opportunity Action Project..... a rather looooong name, but an an acronym which can be easily remembered.

Basically we are interested in creating ways for youth to network, places to stay when you travel, places dedicated to study of the UB, and service outreach projects. We would like to know what we can do to mentor your growth and progress as you become more actively involved in the growing Urantia revelation, and your desire to serve is fired up.

Please contact me if you would like more information on this developing framework, and if you have ideas. We are still in a brainstorming mode, as we work on a draft. The mission statement of SOAP is: TO ENLIST YOUTH IN THE UNDERTAKING OF THE MASTER'S PROGRAM. So far we have outlined 10 goals of this project. I would be glad to send these to you if you are interested in giving us some ideas and feedback on how to go about accomplishing these goals, or to add or change the goals. I know that there are some activities already going on for youth - in Chile, in Estonia, and the excellent retreats in Canada.

My husband and I live in the San Francisco California area. I direct a large school age day care center, and if I have openings, hire young people who may land in this area.

I look forward to hearing your voices!

In the continuing adventures,

Hi...I'm Cassie. I'm 16 years old (well, 17, really. My birthday is the 24th. :]) from Georgia, USA. I discovered Urantia partly though a friend who mentioned it to me once, and partly through the band Deadsy (my favorite song is "Mansion World", and I got curious of what a "Urantia girl" was, and well, as they say, the rest is history!)

At first Urantia was intimidating. I was skimming the online copy of the UB, and I sort of freaked. It just seemed like so much information, like it would take 32190 years to read, learn, and retain it all. I haven't ordered the book yet, though (I figure since my birthday is coming up I'll con my parents into getting it for me)

I think that Urantia is just beautiful to me. It's so fulfilling, and is just everything in a belief that I've wanted. I'm so thankful that I discovered it. I'd appreciate being added to the mailing lists and other such things, if that's no problem. :] Thank you!

I finally found my answers in the UB book. My perception on life, habits, religion, society, and the future now has changed (I'm not sure if thats good or bad) but I feel at peace with myself, understand things more clearly, and look forward to the future instead of dreading it. I haven't read the book from front to back yet, I have been taking my time and soaking it all in. And find myself lending or giving it out to people more often than I have a hold of it. I bought about four copies now and always seem to never keep one for myself. lol I have to share this wonderful news with everyone I meet. I want them to feel the love that came into my life that day when I started the UB journey. PEACE AND LOVE ALWAYS Atonia :)

I am a 26 year old undergraduate philosophy major at the University of Arizona in Tucson. I have read the Urantia book for 8 years now. Although my mother first began reading the Urantia book before I was born (its no coincidence that my name is Michael) she was never able to convince me that book was for real until I was 18. I attended many of the group meetings with my mom in my hometown of Sacramento when I was a kid and loved reading out loud and talking with everyone about the first three parts of the Urantia book, but unfortunately I was offended by what I would have called "Jesus freak talk”. I maintained a completely materialistic philosophy (Big Bang, life is an extensive chemical reaction, etc.) until I finally grew out of it and realized just how right my mother had been. I also needed to read the book completely through in order to understand and be touched by part four.

I just encountered ubyouth today and happy and surprised to find out about it. I would love to see the surprise in somebody’s face if they had never heard of this before and they saw "Urantia camp” at the rainbow gathering.

2. The historical, Biblical, and The URANTIA Book background and foundation of this New Revelation of Jesus, indicating the time of its beginning, as forecast by the heretofor unknown and unsuspected millennial cycles of the Judeo/Christian religion.

Just about a few weeks ago I found out about the Urantia book. I'm impressed by the size and intellect of it. Since I'm so new to it I haven' read alot and most of I don't fully understand it so well. The basic passages on Jesus is what I love the most, how I can get a clearer picture of who he is. My father was going to read it when he was in his twenties, but was dismayed to by people who were afraid of its teachings and to unsure in themselves to take to heart the truth that could ultimately come from it. Now that he is older and wiser, he thinks that reading this book can give greater insights into the universe coupled with his life experience. So I learned of this from him, as I learned most of my spiritual upbringing. I know there is more to life than we as a society are lead to believe and I know that Jesus is the Christ, that through him we may all come to greater knowledge and ultimately have eternal life in our Fathers kingdom. Well enough out of me. I hope to read on, learn more and for all my brothers and sisters on this planet to reach a higher level of conscienceness so that more of us can partake in the terrestial evolution of our mother earth.

I apologise for doing this, but I feel compelled to quote a few paragraphs from the front pages of the White Eagle website (http://www.whiteagle.org). I came across the White Eagle Lodge around the same time as the Urantia Book. Truth is there to be harvested all around us, and the following seems to me to describe the Thought Adjuster quite beautifully:

**************
'The Purpose of the [White Eagle] Lodge

'Every man, woman and child on earth has in their heart a light to guide them. White Eagle calls this the Christ spirit, the spirit of divine love. The word 'Christ' is meant universally, and should not be linked with a particular religion. Because the light is deeply implanted, it is not always easy to recognise it in other people, or realise it is there in ourselves.

'The purpose of the Lodge teaching is to help humanity develop its true nature, which is this inner light, so that the light radiates throughout the whole being, and out into the world to bless, heal and comfort others. With the development of this true spiritual nature, the barriers between people and between them and the spiritual world is broken down. Thus the fear of death is removed.

'From White Eagle's words of dedication for the Lodge:

'"We have chosen to call this centre the White Eagle Lodge -- a name not bearing reference to any particular person but referring to the white eagle as a symbol of vision, used down the ages by the Wise Ones whom we are privileged to serve.

'"This is to be a centre of light; and all who would serve the Great White Light, whatever their denomination, whatever their school of thought, can meet here on a common plane of brotherhood and service.

'"Therefore, beloved children, we say that this place is to be a lighthouse to guide men and women, and we ask you to help us establish and maintain the light within. Let this become a focal point for the light of spirit...

'"We want you to realise that our Lodge has behind it a fine purpose. That purpose extends far into the future: it is to bring to the earth a standard of life which is in harmony with the Infinite Love. The Lodge is not therefore a place for complex expositions of intellectual truth. It is instead ever working to stimulate the simple human love in every heart."'
**************

I hope this resonates with you all and I look forward to getting to know you all better via the newsgroup!

Peace to you all, and many thanks to Michael for setting up the website and newsgroup

((I would like to post this on the Yahoo board, but I seem to be having problems with it))

Hello, my name's Gavin, I'm 29 and from London, UK.

This is a question for people who have read the entire book.

I started reading the book at the beginning of part III a few months ago. I've read from paper 57 through to 104 (pages 651-1149). I'm
particularly looking forward to getting to part IV that deals
with Jesus's life, but I'm wondering what people think about
reading the book from the very beginning. Would those who've
read the whole book advise me to stop where I've got up to and
read the book from the beginning?

Thanks for any pointers!

I came across the Urantia Book while searching around for "truth" I suppose. A lot of weird spiritual stuff happened to me last year around the time when I was suddenly made aware that life really does continue after bodily death. There were spiritual happenings around that time that brought both ecstasy and dispair. Things have calmed down now, I'm glad to say. While I found some initial comfort in first realising that life does continue after the body dies (through spiritualist churches etc. and personal experiences), I soon felt that that wasn't enough, and I wanted to start finding out what it all meant in relation to what I should be doing NOW while in material life. Although some nasty nasty things happened last year, they did in a way lead to start reading the Urantia Book and also to look into some of White Eagle's teachings (http://www.whiteagle.org).

There is so much I want to write here and so much detail I would like to go into! But I'll leave it here for now. Thanks for any responses!

Hello all. My name is Morgan, i'm 16, and I'm living on the Big Island of Hawaii.

I understand when many of you say that Urantia is the only thing stoping you from becoming an atheist. I was raised as a christian, but as I got past the age when you blindly accept anything your parents tell you to, I wanted something, well, more LOGICAL. While I agreed (and still do agree) with many of the priciples written in the Bible I couldn't help but feel that somewhere along the way they got some pretty mixed up information. It was with great releif that I began to read Urantia (my mom introduced it to me). I'm still working my way through it, but what I've read so far not only appeals to my locical side but FEELS right.

Thats all. Thanks for writting your bios, I enjoyed reading some of them (what I mean is that I only got a little ways through them, not that some of them stunk :))

Im 25 and have been reading the Urantia for about a year and think it is amazing. I consider myself a unsecularized chistian who not only worships the glorified christ but the earthly life of Jesus also.I have great respect for the history of evolved as well as revelatory religion.I grew up in Santa Fe New Mexico a beautiful place with land that mimics that of the Holy Land in the middle east and have been invigoated by Jesus ever since I can remember. The fire of God,the Holy Ghost and the power of the ressurection are what I look forward to seeing manifested in the matieral world.I am thankful for the people I know and will soon know, The universe of Nebadon, Jesus Christ, the Infinite Mother Spirit,The Father and his children of many orders. Nice work!

This is a very well done WebSite. For someone like myself, a 30+ year reader who was interested to see how things are going with younger readers, I found it extremely encouraging to browse through it. I was particularly impressed with the number of familiar names I saw of 'second generation' readers as well as the frequency with which younger folks are 'finding' the Ubook and becoming serious readers.

Very reassuring -- thanks

I only wish there were more participants. If any of you are in NYC, come to a meeting! 212-473-2311 love bree

Good one Guys,

You are the future of Urantia and we must pass this
revelation on to those of you who will be the generation
that has the awesome responsibility of ushering the Book
into the public domain. Now we have a safe period where
we can produce translations and get the roots of the
revelation into the Urantian spiritual soil. You of the
post baby-boom generation will be able to nurse to new

Thank you and I have every confidence you will be able to
carry out this gardener's work which is crucial to the

Until I found this website I never heard of the Urantia before in my life. The fact that it is a religeous book makes feel compelled to learn more about it. I have never been a very religeous man and in recent times I have even come to seriously doubt the existance of such things. The circumstances surrounding this are quite odd, here is my story.

A couple of days ago I was at a resturaunt in Chicago Heights and I met a girl with the eyes of an angel. She seemed to speak good english, but with a heavy accent. We spoke only for a few breif moments. She held my hand and when I looked into her eyes I felt a comfort that words simply cannot justify. She seemed somewhat intrigued by my fascination with her eyes, she asked me what it was that I saw in her eyes. It was hard for me to explain this to her at the time, I felt as if she thought I was just saying these things without truly meaning them.

Anyway.. Shortly thereafter I was speaking with a stranger and I mentioned my encounter with the Russian girl and her eyes. The person told me something odd they said "Hmmm... well you know what they say.... the eyes are the window to the soul, maybe it's not really her eyes but something much deeper"

Now on the way home I did the strangest thing. I haven't been to church in many years and I'm not so sure how I really feel about religion but for some reason I said a prayer for this girl!

All I really know about her is that her name is Nadia and she's from Russia. I couldn't seem to stop thinking about her and today when I got online I figured I'd try the craziest thing, I'd look for her on-line. Quite frankly I know my chances of winning the lottery are probably just as good, but still I had to try. Working off the search terms Nadia & Russia I wound up here.

There is a girl's intro on this site; 'Nadia Hairuline', she bears a striking resemblance to the girl I met, except the girl I met had longer hair. Maybe it's just a coincidence I don't know. I'm very curious as to how recent that picture is. I wanted to e-mail her & ask if she was the girl with the beautiful eyes who for a moment held my hand and said she liked my smile but alas, she has no e-mail address :(

If anyone reads this who knows this Nadia Hairuline, will you please tell her about this message. There is so much I wanted ask her and so much I wanted to say but I didn't get the chance.

I didn't want to say good-bye, but I had to go. I only wish that say day we will meet again.

Each and every reader would do well do put this into practice.
I don't know about you all but I've personally had enough of worrying about things so much I end up spending most of my free time on the toilet.

Also something that was brought to my attention at the conference in New York:

This may go towards explaining some UFO phenomena:-

Pg 438- Seraphic transporters.

Lastly:-

A good point to mention I feel is the fact that many gems of information in the Urantia Book are not where you may expect to find them.
You will begin to recognise this fact after a while.

Dear friends,

Here's a note from The Netherlands (Europe). My name is Marcel Peereboom, age 31. I read the book for over 10 years by now.

I'm with a studygroup every 14 days, but talking about the book with anybody else is still a problem: there are not many young readers in Holland.

So I got a message for MAYA (see entry 72): you're not alone (send me an email if you can.)

The Dutch version of the Ubook came out in November 1997 and since then there are over a 1000 dutch books sold (for as far as I know.)
I'm busy now with setting up a dutch Internet site of the Ubook, but there are some security issues to solve.

If anybody from the Netherlands would like some information about the Ubook, please send an email to .

With celestial greetings,

Hi Spinners and Spinnettes,
I'm a friend and family to some very dedicated Urantia book readers (Very nice people!) . I haven't read the book myself, but I may one day when I have the time. I think that any thing that makes you think outside the square and ask questions is good. I find Urantia readers always very interesting to talk to, because they are fascinated in life, something that I'm also fascinated in.
I'm very dissillusioned in religion however, from personal experiences whilst growing up etc. I hate self righteous fucking christians. What makes them any better than any other person on this planet. Just because they have their little church, friends, morals, security etc... who says they have the right to judge other peoples way of living. Then they try to push their religion onto you. What choice do millions of people who grow up in religious families have? This is the way it was for their parents and their parents.
I beleive that there is something great and powerful that exists beyond our physical world. What it is and does noone knows, full stop. Everyone has a theory on what they think it is and many will swear that theirs is the real thing!
Now how can that work - who's god is the real one? The truth is that they all exist, in each individuals minds. So what I'm trying to get at is.......live a good life, do what you feel is right to yourself and your fellow man, be open minded to anyones beliefs because theirs could be just as real as yours is, don't cling to religion for security - beleive in yourself and have a good time!

I also wanted to sign the book and say what a thrill it is to see the excitement and dedication of my kids' generation of Urantia Book people. I could really relate to the lonliness so many of you expressed. It was certainly lonely for us. When I first started going to UB study groups I was relieved to finally be able to fellowship with other readers, but shocked and dismayed one night to find a rather prominent UB women out in the hall feeding her little lap baby. It seemed that UB people, at least in the area where I lived, had never actually seen a kid, and apparently found them upsetting. And these were UB big-brains at some of these meetings I was going to. You know they had actually read all the parts. Go figure.
So sometimes I just brazenly took my kids right into the meetings. And people kind of moved over for that, God love 'em. I did have to quit going to certain meetings for 10 or 15 years, too, especially once the head-count achieved a critical mass. (Now looking back I notice that those are the ones that no longer exist. What does that tell you. No second generation.)
Anyway, how did we manage to produce such a splendid crop of kids, those of you who were born in. And those of you whose stories so much more resemble mine-- man! I almost cried remembering back and seeing your spirit and your elan in the pages of this site and seeing the wonderful growth and maturing of the movment! Another generation! And a better one! A much better generation than we were. That's my opinion. Reading this site has made me very very happy. Thank you so much.

25 years ago i discovered a group of people with similar beliefs and questions as I had. I asked a "channeller" if there was book that I could read which would answer many of the questions I had. "The Evergreens" came through with the Urania Book. I found peace within the pages, and some confusion, too. So while life took over and I had jobs, kids, and "things to do", the UB sat on the shelf. But I realize that many of the ideas and values i hold are from the UB, mingled with some Bahai and just plain old respect for humankind. Now my oldest is questioning her place in the cosmos. At 12 I was not ready for the UB, but I cannot presume that she is not. I am interested and pleased to see a forum for younger readers.

I have only just started reading and searching again, having experienced 5 family deaths in 3 years, and some unrelated conflicts within. So, in a way I am also a "young" reader. I asked God for guidance, and then my brother (unknowingly) convinced me to get on the net. There you were, the very first chatroom category I chose. It couldn't have been any easier. If only I had asked 3 years ago! I really missed not knowing anyone (besides my hubby, Craig) who thought the way I did. I felt very alone. But now I will be checking out every UB link I can!

I'm on the southwest coast of BC, Canada, hope to talk to many UBees in the future.

Hi!

What a great idea to put together such a great website! I have often wondered how many other young readers are out there. I do believe we need to come together and figure out how to be the most effective leaders of the Urantia Book teachings for tomorrows generation. Soon our opportunity will be here to light the way for others. How lucky we are to have so many good examples to follow. My parents have been involved since the early seventies and have sucessfully guided many people to the Urantia Book. I have learned that it is not always easy and sometimes it doesn't work out, but never quit trying. Nothing is more worthwhile. I can only hope to achieve an understanding of the Urantia Book teachings that they have achieved through many years of reading, study groups and conferences. I agree that our age group could definantly represent itself better at conferences. All we need is a little organization and I think the youth will feel more welcome.
It is late so I will close!

It's a pleasure to browse through your site. I've only been on line for several weeks ,it was only a matter of time before I searched URANTIA.I was introduced to the book by a friend of my father's for whom I worked making pottery in a shop that he had behind his home.I was a 15 year old rebel without a clue, and he was a product of the hippie generation who had been making pottery for a living ever since graduating college.Together we smoked a lot of grass, made a lot of pottery, and talked a lot of philosophy. He softened me up for several months and then told me about the URANTIA book. After several more weeks,he loaned me his copy.
I have never before or since, had the massive awakening of my mind that I had as I began to read it's pages.Of course I couldn't read it all,but it planted a seed of knowledge.Years later after I served in the Army, and settled down into civilian life,I bought my own copy.I was very suprised to find that I could order it over the counter at the book store in the local mall.I had been under the mistaken understanding that a book of such great knowledge would be way too controversial to obtain easily. But there it was for the taking, right down at the local book store.
I am now 31 years of age. I am a career industrial mechanic living and working in my home town of Lebanon,PA.I still have not read the entire book, and I have not exactly lived the sin-free enlightened life that it calls us to.However i'm trying. To me it's the type of knowledge to takes a long time to absorb.Indeed, one or two paragraphs can last me weeks or months.I'll probably be going back to it's pages for answers until I pass on.THANX

Hi Young Urantia Book Readers! I'm a middle-aged reader, and I'm really happy to see so many young Urantia Book enthusiasts! After all, given the long road to Paradise, we're all really about the same age, aren't we? Infants we all are.

I remember the first time I ever made it to a Urantia conference back in 1975, in Chicago. I'd had the book less than a year and I hadn't known what to expect when I attended the conference. I was a hippie back then and I'd heard about the Urantia conference, indirectly, from somebody I'd picked up hitchhiking. Anyway, I was standing in a food line behind a whole bunch of little old ladies and men. There was this sweet grandma-type in front of me in line, all dressed up. I noticed she even had seams in her nylons, something I hadn't seen in years. I was in jeans, no bra, birkenstocks. She smiled at me, so I said, "I'm really surprised to see that so many old people are reading this book." She answered, "And I'm so happy to see that so many young people are finally reading it, too!"

I guess now I feel the same way as she did. :)

Warmly,

The Urantia book has changed my life and the lives of my close friends as I am sure it has changed all of yours. I cannot express to you how wonderfull this book makes me feel.

I would encourage each of you to spread good will and enlightenment to those individuals close to you. If we all act responsibly we can expand THE KINDOM of heaven and bring about our Destiny of Light & Life.

I am ever cautious to be patient and wait for the opportunity to introduce the teachings of The Master to those who are ready and willing to accept these universal truths.

Peace and Love be with you all.

Hello everyone! What a thrill it is to see so many young people being drawn to the Book as I was in my younger years.

I'm what some of you might call an old dude... 54 , residing in Santa Clarita, California. I started reading the book 30 years ago and have been continuously involved in either attending or hosting study groups... I have met so many wonderful people and have made some of the most UNLIKELY friends... Imagine if you will, a young hippie with hair down the middle of his back and a full beard being the best of friends with a retired Marine Corps General... Well, I was the hippie and it was the comraderie of a study group that made it possible. This Book truly changes lives and touches us in the most extraordinary ways. I just LOVE it...!

I have a passion for helping people through fostering weekly email lists of 1) quotes from The Urantia Book (of course), 2) motivation, and 3) humor . The internet is great fun...

I would LOVE to hear from any and all of you. It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing. It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive... Let's talk Will :-)

I am glad to see that the UB is online now. I was exposed to the book several years ago and was unable to follow it. I have been reading it for several years now and find myself overwhelmed with its content and message especially during these times of conflict and trial we as a world find ourselves. I look forward to the time when we as mortal inhabitants realize our full spiritual potential here on earth and abroad, recognize and embrace our Fathers gifts, and become settled in His light and life, reflecting His character and love as Jesus did. It is already here but we as a world have shut our eyes and haven,t developed the capacity to gather that which is ours.

Peace be with you! There is nothing for a greater natural high than to receive the answer to a prayer. I have known only the truths from the UB since I could listen. Being raised with such profound information tends to mature a person (I have come to realize) much quicker than the norm. My sisters and I have always felt a little out of place when we spoke of higher values to our peers, and I am so thankful to now know of many more young believers like us. I only wish that I could hace been in communication with all of you at a younger age.

I am now 22 (January 5th), and know that my mission is this planet. If it be God's Will for me, I want to do all I can to push this sphere into the era of light and life (no matter how long I get to stay...I have already promised my entire existence for Him). It is a happy day for me. Great thanks got out to the brothers who got this site going! God bless us all for the betterment, together, of Urantia!

I just can't stop...I am too excited! Please, anyone write when you have a chance. May the forces of truth, beauty, and goodness rain in your life daily throughout every thought, word, and deed. Your sister, April Helen.

Hi young readers!

It's with pleasure I've noticed that a new generation is interested in the Urantia Book. I've read the UB since 1972 and it is the most important event that has happened in my life. Without it, my life wouldn't have been the same. Now, I consider that I'm a happy man in harmony with my inner divine presence. It's always a pleasure to me to transmit my personnel experience in writing or in giving conferences. I'm very proud that my daughter Krishna reads the UB, it's for me an important transmission of values for her inner life. I hope she will spread the message as well as I've done.

Ultimately, I wish that the revelation could be integrated in the personal life of all of you guys, for a better moral and spiritual life!

I was on a Bible list and one of the members kept bringing up that Paul taught things that Jesus did not teach and that we should follow Jesus and not Paul or anyone else.

The list members went ballistic! They said that you can't just pick and choose what you want from the Bible, that the whole Bible is inspired by God and is all true, every word of it..

Then the list members found out the rebel was a Urantia Reader and first they just declared him to be the devil and then they banned him from the list altogether! I was so disgusted and disappointed in their intolerance that I began looking for a Urantia list to join so that we can talk about what I believe.

I was hoping the Bible readers would be open minded, but they were not. Thanks for being here.
